WhatsApp introduces a refreshed interface for status updates

WhatsApp has unveiled a fresh interface for browsing status updates in its latest update. Android users enrolled in the Google Play Beta Program can now access version 2.24.10.10, featuring this revamped design. This update introduces a streamlined status tray, simplifying how users engage with statuses on WhatsApp.

The updated layout offers users a glimpse of status previews directly within the tray, addressing feedback from users who found the previous design less intuitive. In response to user requests, WhatsApp has restored thumbnail previews, enhancing the browsing experience.

Previously, thumbnail previews were replaced with mere profile pictures, causing navigation issues for users. With this redesign, users can now conveniently browse through statuses without the need to open each one individually.

The refreshed status updates interface is currently available to a select group of WhatsApp beta testers and will gradually roll out to more users over the coming weeks.
